Every year, I like to keep a close eye out for rookies with impact potential for my lineup. Rookies most the time aren’t much but if you had David Johnson or Todd Gurley last year, then they help give you that push for a cheap price. I like to call them sleepers. Sleeperz = low risk but high rewards or in another word, great value with lots of upside.
- Elliott RB – DAL (Potentially 1st /2nd round pick, but still a rookie).
- Corey Coleman WR – CLE
- Tyler Boyd WR – CIN
- Sterling Shepard WR- NYG
- Michael Thomas WR – NO
Elliott (DAL), with the best running O-line in the league + his elite skill at the RB position, look forward to seeing some magical numbers for this kid as he may put up some huge fantasy numbers just like Todd Gurley. Coleman (CLE), even though we have not seen anything from this kid in preseason, know this, he is a beast and he and RG3 will have that baylor connection and lighting out fireworks, this may be CLE best offensive team thus far. Boyd (CIN) and Shepard (NYG), both have the opportunity to take on a huge role this year as both team has lost their #2 WR in free agency. Thomas (NO) has been making lots of plays during preseason and he too have an opportunity to come in and take over the slot position possibly, it’s a good opportunity for him as Drew Brees is one of the best QB in the game.
If you could stash one of these sleeper WR on your bench, I would definitely do so as they may have the opportunity to come right in and do some work for your team.
